About the Role:
As a Senior UI/UX Designer at Cooperative Computing, you will take on an essential role in managing engaging and challenging projects across our project team. Your task will be to work alongside product/project management, engineering, and design to ensure the timely and within scope completion of projects. Communication, setting clear project expectations, and holding teams accountable for agreed deliverables will be fundamental to your role.
Mission:
The Senior UI/UX Designer's mission is to collaborate with various stakeholders to develop a robust design system and ensure its integrity in the final output. This role aims to create consistent, high-quality user experiences across different platforms and devices. The individual in this position will leverage their skills to supervise and guide junior team members, manage deadlines effectively, and troubleshoot UX problems.
Capabilities (Key Behaviors):
The Senior UI/UX Designer will exhibit the following capabilities:
- Ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and visual designers to develop and maintain a design system.
- Proficiency in conceptualizing and designing digital visual identity systems, websites, landing pages, digital platforms, apps, and other digital content.
- Experience in designing user interfaces with responsive web applications across various hardware platforms (desktops, tablets, and mobile phones).
- Ability to create wireframes, user flows, visual design assets, and interactive prototypes/high-fidelity mockups.
- Skill in identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g., responsiveness).
- Capacity to manage tight deadlines and supervise other team projects.
- Expertise in creating and manipulating custom images, prototyping concepts, and creating layouts using Photoshop, Illustrator, and other web design and graphics-related tools.
- Ability to write documentation and guidance on the application of components, styles, and patterns in code and design.
- Skill in leading a project or group of projects with limited supervision and guidance.
- Ability to conceptualize and communicate design ideas to a range of stakeholders, including customers, sales staff, team leads, and others.
- Knowledge of front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript is a plus.
